In just his second full season of V8 Supercars, 20-year-old Rick clearly demonstrated championship calibre talent by overcoming immense pressures placed on him during the season by outside influences to finish an extremely commendable eighth overall.
The greatest indication of Rick's coming of age was his joining up with Kmart Racing team-mate Greg Murphy, to record one of the most dominating wins ever in the Bob Jane T-Marts Bathurst 1000. Rick set the team's fastest lap of the race, along with etching his own name into the history books, the youngest winner in Bathurst's 43-year history.

This year Rick is driving for the HSV Dealer team, so keep your eyes peeled for this young talent, racing his way around the world.
